    Kambas,

Thank you for creating this site to inform us that we can also buy websites. This knowledge is new for me and I find it very interesting.

What’s even better is that they are affiliate marketing websites and can create an income. I will look into this business idea further.

Thank you for sharing this info.

Well this is the first I’ve heard of eBay selling websites for people – but it makes perfect sense when you think about it!
eBay and Paypal are near enough the same company so whatever purchase you make will be covered extremely well with security – one of the main factos in buying a website. Have you bought a website off eBay yet?

      Hi Chris

Yes, Paypal actually became a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay in 2002 so they one in the same.

I have bought quite a few websites but I resell them as soon as possible for a small profit. I can only manage so much, mainly I retail Lego and comics and other toys on several online platform like eBay and BidorBuy here in South Africa. So basically I flip websites part-time, I don’t operate them as yet.

      Kind regards,

      Kamil

    Hey Kamil,

Building big niche websites that generate income so that you can flip them really isn’t that time consuming. Not stating that it happens overnight or anything, but building a nice 5,000 page eCommerce shop that links to your affiliate products using WooCommerce is an excellent way to sell your websites online. I haven’t sold a lot of websites on eBay. For flipping websites I like to stick with Flippa. You will get so much more for them on Flippa than eBay. The reason being is because people are typically looking for bargains on eBay.

Flippa, on the other hand, has a larger market for selling websites. However, I do like selling domain names on eBay because you get 50 free listings per month which is a huge plus. When I sell domain names on Flippa it ends up costing me $9 each time I post a domain name.

Do make sure when you except money for websites it’s not through PayPal, though. People can completely rip you off with PayPal. It’s actually in their terms of service and buyer protection does not apply to selling services. Sadly, I learned this the hard way years ago.

      Hi Garen

Thanks so much for sharing all this valuable information.
What I do in general is try to find reliable sellers on eBay and promote their websites here and simply earn a commission if a sale is made.
Thus if there is a dispute I won’t be entangled.

It is hard enough to make a website and monetize it effectively because one still needs the traffic and sometimes beginners buy a website that has already been monetized but don’t understand why they not making money and don’t understand how to drive specific targeted traffic to their niche or they don’t apply any SEO content to build flowing organic traffic. There are many aspects to grasp before you start earning a significant steady income.

Flippa is a great alternative and as you say it is probably more rewarding than eBay. Once can juggle between the two and many other sites that support web sales.

Thanks again for your contribution Garen!

      Regards,
      Kamil
